Terms of service

These Terms are between you and the developer identified on Narumelo’s Google Play listing, operating the Narumelo service (“Narumelo”, “we”, or “us”).

If you don’t agree with any part of these terms, please don’t use the platform. By creating an account, you confirm that you’re at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.

You’re responsible for keeping your password or Google account secure and for activity under your Narumelo account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has accessed it. You agree to provide accurate information at sign-up and to keep it updated.

One person, one account. Creating extra accounts to circumvent blocks, suspensions, or circle limits is not allowed.

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate any person.
• Share content that is illegal, hateful, sexualising, or that exploits minors.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Spam, advertise, or solicit in circles, DMs, or prompts.
• Share private contact information (yours or anyone else’s) in circle chats.
• Attempt to access data you don’t have permission for, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access Narumelo.
• Circumvent the mutual-DM system to send unsolicited messages.

The full behavioural expectations are in our Community guidelines, which are part of these terms by reference. Our separate Child safety standards apply to child sexual abuse and exploitation concerns.

Circle owners may create house rules for their own circle. Those rules supplement these Terms and the Community Guidelines; they cannot override Narumelo’s safety rules, permit illegal conduct, discriminate against protected groups, or remove a member’s ability to report or leave.

House rules are shown before joining, and members agree to follow them while participating. Owners may update their rules as the circle evolves. If you no longer agree, you may leave the circle or report a rule that conflicts with Narumelo policy.

An invite link opens the named circle and its current house rules. An invitation does not guarantee membership: capacity, privacy settings, approval requirements, account eligibility, and rule acceptance still apply. Do not mass-send or misuse invitation links.

You own the content you post (messages, prompt responses, profile details, avatar, and circle house rules). By posting it on Narumelo, you grant us a limited licence to host, store, and display it to the people it’s meant for (you, your circle members, your DM partners, eligible Narumelo members when you share a community thought, or public profile visitors) — solely to operate the service.

Daily Prompt answers are private by default. Choosing “Share with Narumelo” makes that answer a community thought until you make it private again or delete it. Other members may react to or share a link to a community thought; access to the thought still requires an eligible Narumelo account.

We don’t claim ownership of your content. We don’t use your content to train AI models. We don’t sell your content to anyone.

Narumelo is a platform that connects people. We are nota party to any interaction between users, and we’re not responsible for what users say or do to each other. We moderate to keep the space safe, but we can’t guarantee the behaviour of every member.

Authorised moderators and administrators cannot browse private conversations or private prompt archives. A report about a specific message or community thought may include that exact content and the report details needed to enforce these Terms. Other messages, private answers, and unrelated content are not included. This limited access does not transfer ownership of your content.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms or the community guidelines. Where possible, we’ll warn you first; for serious violations (illegal content, predation, targeted harassment), we’ll act immediately without notice.

You can request account deletion from “My profile → Your data” or by contacting privacy@narumelo.com. Personal account data is deleted or de-identified within 30 days. We may retain limited safety, moderation, security, audit, or legal records only where reasonably necessary or required by law.

If your account is suspended, you may request a review by contacting hello@narumelo.com with your account username and relevant context. We aim to have a different authorised reviewer assess the appeal where moderation capacity allows.

Narumelo does not offer a public checkout, paid subscription, or one-time payment at launch. Core account, safety, reporting, blocking, privacy, and deletion controls are free.

We may describe optional future features as coming later. This is not a promise of a release date or permanent availability. Before any paid feature is enabled, we will show the price and purchase terms and update the relevant payment, cancellation, refund, and privacy information.

We work hard to keep Narumelo available, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change features, pause the service for maintenance, or discontinue parts of it. We’ll give you reasonable notice for major changes that affect your data.

Narumelo is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Narumelo and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including loss of data, emotional distress, or harm from interactions with other users.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

These terms apply subject to the mandatory consumer, privacy, and other legal rights available where you live. Nothing in these terms removes a right or remedy that applicable law does not allow you to waive.

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll update the “last updated” date above and notify you in the app for material changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
